Origins Rooted in Heritage

David's upbringing in England, immersed in his family's tableware business, and Capucine's French-Texan background, rich with familial gatherings at Ferme du Mont, laid the foundation for Juliska's ethos. Their shared appreciation for artistry and storytelling became the cornerstone of their brand.

The name "Juliska" was inspired during a visit to a Czech glass studio, where they met a woman named Juliska who introduced them to master artisans. This encounter not only provided a name but also deepened their commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship.

Crafting Timeless Collections

Juliska's inaugural collection featured mouth-blown Bohemian glassware, characterized by intricate designs and historical motifs. Notably, the "Berry & Thread" pattern draws inspiration from 14th-century Venetian glassblowing techniques, where raised motifs provided grip for diners eating with their hands. This design has since become a signature, extending beyond glassware to ceramics and flatware.

Collaborations with artisans in Portugal led to the creation of durable stoneware ceramics, marrying old-world aesthetics with modern functionality. Each piece, from the whimsical "Country Estate" to the elegant "Pewter Stoneware," reflects Juliska's commitment to "perfectly imperfect" beauty.

Embracing Growth and Innovation

In 2020, Juliska relocated its headquarters to Charleston, South Carolina, drawn by the city's rich history and logistical advantages. This move facilitated closer connections with customers and expanded their reach to over 700 retailers across the U.S.

Beyond tableware, Juliska ventured into jewelry with the launch of the "Capucine De Wulf" collection. This line celebrates authentic beauty and womanhood, featuring symbolic designs crafted using ancient techniques and modern technology.

A Legacy of Togetherness

At its heart, Juliska is more than a brand—it's a celebration of life's moments, both grand and intimate. Capucine and David's vision of "l’amour et savoir vivre"—love and the art of knowing how to live well—resonates through every piece they create. Their designs invite us to gather, share, and create memories around the table.

For those seeking to infuse their homes with charm and elegance, Juliska offers a world where tradition meets innovation, and every meal becomes a cherished occasion.
